Carol Blair, CEO

Carol BlairCarol Blair launched Carol Blair and Associates Inc. in 2007 after many years as a senior consultant with respected international consulting firms. Her previous career included both front-line and senior positions. She has been the highly-regarded CEO of a public health organization and manager of a provincial home care program.

The depth and breadth of Carol’s knowledge and experience enable her to specialize in projects dealing with public and population health, home care, continuing care, supportive living and governance. She also works in the municipal government and related service sectors focusing on governance and operations.

A professional with 20 years of consulting experience, Carol has been engaged in a variety of projects addressing strategic and program planning initiatives at the federal, provincial and regional levels. Projects have included program and organizational/operational reviews, strategic planning and management, program evaluations, performance management, business process improvement, Board/Council governance and interfaces with management.

Carol received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with distinction, including the Gold Medal, from the University of Alberta. She also completed the Executive Development Program for Senior Health Administrators from the Banff School of Management, and the Management Development Certificate Program, with distinction, from the University of Alberta. She is a member of the Canadian Public Health Association, including the Alberta Branch and an Associate member of the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta.

 

Colette Cornejo, Associate

Colette CornejoColette Cornejo is the owner and cofounder of RIOCOR Consulting. Since 2004 her consulting work has included operational planning, logistics, business process improvement, strategic planning, special events planning and recruitment.

Colette joined Carol Blair and Associates in the fall of 2009 to assist with the organization of the Stop Bad Bugs program. Over the course of this 3-year project she managed the logistics and scheduling involved in delivering the program to over 9,000 front-line staff working in supportive living, including group homes, and long term care facilities across Alberta. Colette assists with major projects involving province-wide stakeholder consultations. Her work involves planning for and scheduling consultations with stakeholders through interviews, focus groups, and conferences. She also assists in the collection and analysis of stakeholder findings and conference proceedings.

Colette obtained her Bachelor of International Business with a Human Resources Minor from the University of Alberta. In addition to English, Colette is fluent in both French and Spanish.


Bev Curtis, Associate

Bev CurtisBeverley Curtis has over 30 years experience in healthcare including acute care, continuing care, home care, mental health and public health.  Her experience includes strategic planning, policy and program development at regional, provincial and national levels, including designing and implementing programs and evaluations.  She has achieved the Apprentice Integral Coach designation from Integral Coaching Canada, which gives a framework for a comprehensive analysis of issues.

Her personal strengths include working with compassion and kindness; seeing an issue from many perspectives; using evidence and systems thinking to address problems; and working collaboratively to find solutions.  Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Human Ecology, course work toward a Masters of Theological Studies and completion of Integral Coaching Canada’s Apprentice Designation.



Cassandra Snider, Associate

Cassandra SniderCassandra Snider has worked with Carol Blair and Associates since January 2010, when she assisted as an analyst with the Alberta Stop Bad Bugs training program. As an analyst Cassandra focuses on best practices research, education and training implementation and program, policy and facility development and needs assessment. Most of her work is in the continuing care and public health fields where she assists with the collection and analysis of stakeholder findings and conference proceedings, researching and writing environmental scans and literature reviews, organizing and scheduling interviews, focus groups and conferences with stakeholders.

Cassandra obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English language and literature and a minor in Anthropology from the University of Alberta.

 

Danie Hardie, Associate

Danie Hardie

Dan Hardie has been designing visual communications for almost 45 years – starting with traditional media and evolving to include digital and website medias.

Danie Hardie Creative Communications Ltd. is a boutique design studio that is very flexible and adaptable to the needs of our clients, working with them to produce the marketing and communications materials that help them communicate their message.

Clients are located across Western Canada and and the US and are from a diverse range of businesses – from manufacturers and distributors of building and construction materials, real estate and housing developers, software developers, service professionals, food processors, and educational institutions – both public and private.

His extensive experience across a wide range of industries enables us to communicate and collaborate with many talented people to create effective business and marketing solutions.
